Cate Joyce (b. 1987, Baltimore, MD) is an oil-painter and artist based in New England.

After over a decade spent designing for others, Cate pivoted into painting full-time, training in the academic tradition at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. She spent four years developing a rigorous commitment to observational drawing and painting under natural light.

Since graduating, her personal work has moved towards more narrative and imaginative themes, using portraiture as a vehicle for symbolic and psychological exploration.
